About Tanvir Sanghera

Tenacious and strategic

Associate

Location: Port Moody

Tanvir joined our team as an associate in 2021.

Prior to Inlet Employment Law, Tanvir practiced general civil litigation with a focus in commercial disputes, where she gained experience in a wide variety of matters, including insurance defence, commercial collections, contract and shareholder disputes, and real estate litigation. Though her experiences were broadly positive, she wanted to re-focus her practice to take on cases with a human element. She now uses her diverse background to her client's advantage in her current practice of employment and human rights litigation.

As a sixth-year call to the bar, Tanvir has already gained experience beyond her vintage. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia on a variety of interlocutory, trial and appeal matters, as well as at administrative tribunals. Her most recent victory was as lead counsel for a wrongfully dismissed employee in the B.C. Court of Appeal in E.N. v. William L. Rutherford (B.C.) Limited. Not only does this case touch on several important employment law issues, but it is also a precedent decision for an important civil evidentiary procedure.

Tanvir completed her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. Prior to embarking on a career in law, Tanvir travelled extensively and her keen interest in travel led her to attend law school in the United Kingdom, where she obtained her LLB. Tanvir is fluent in Punjabi.

Tanvir understands how important it is to achieve tangible results, so she is committed to finding strategies to reach resolutions that are timely, efficient and fair.
