Inlet Law Presents at BC’s Employment Law Conference

In early May of 2022, our associates Navpreet Chhina and Tanvir Sanghera co-presented at the 2022 Continuing Legal Education Society of BC Annual Employment Law Conference. Their corresponding paper titled “Behind Closed (Office) Doors: A Vicarious Liability Update” (co-written with our colleagues at another firm) covers vicarious liability generally in the employment context, as well managing litigation issues in claims wherein an employer is held vicariously liable for their employee’s sexual assault, including the trend of increased damage awards, unsuccessful defenses, and taking a trauma-informed approach to file management.

This is a very sensitive yet important topic and it is our goal at Inlet Law to shed more light on this issue and to bring into to the public forum.

Martin Sheard assisted me, and his work was first-rate. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and made me absolutely confident that I had received exactly the legal services I needed.
